The IFOAM World Board shall take note of the Rennes Declaration of IFOAM Animal Husbandry Alliance.
The Declaration sets out the conclusions of the Pre-Conference on Organic Animal Husbandry and subsequent workshop at the OWC. It acknowledges the centrality of animals/livestock in sustainable agriculture and highlights the key priorities for supporting, developing and promoting organic animal husbandry. It emphasises that organic animal production must take place in the context of holistic systems that enhance environmental benefits and animal welfare.

Welcome to the Recommendations Section of the Online Forum
of the General Assembly 2021 of IFOAM – Organics International!

About:

This is the place where you can propose a recommendation for the newly elected World Board to consider in the next term 2021 - 2024.

While the World Board has to implement the motions, it may consider approved recommendations. On both it will report at the next General Assembly . Please see the GA Rules of Procedure, § 9.

How:

You can propose a recommendation with a limit of 500 characters of text in total. You need to find another member organization to second your recommendation. The seconder needs to type the following into the REPLY field under your proposal:

‘I second the recommendation’.

What:

Let the World Board know what you like to see happen and by whom/ which part of the organization. Be mindful about the resources to implement the recommendation and let the World Board know where you think the resources should come from.

Your recommendation should be within the scope of activities of IFOAM – Organics International.

Please be precise and clear with your recommendation!

When:

This section is open from from 5.30 PM CEST until 9.00 PM CEST on September 13, 2021
Thereafter the chairs will check on the process and bring positively assessed recommendations to the General Assembly, September 14, for a vote.
